Dr. Megan, a native Washingtonian, received her schooling all over the country before returning to her home State. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Wesleyan University in 2006. She then attended Tulane University School of Medicine, the Alma Mater of her late father, where she graduated at the top of her class, obtaining her Medical Degree and selection into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. Dr. Megan went on to complete a competitive 6-year Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery residency at Southern Illinois University, where she received a rigorous surgical education in all aspects of Plastic Surgery ranging from pediatric craniofacial surgery to upper extremity surgery. Our ambulatory surgery center is fully accredited by the state of Washington and the AAAASF so patients can be sure their care is held to the highest of safety standards. Our spacious, comfortable office and surgery center ensures patients a private, comfortable, and exceptional experience.
The Phase Plastic Surgery team provides a full range of services including both surgical and non-surgical treatments. We specialize in aesthetic surgeries of the face, breast and body but also offer a full range of injectable treatments (Neurotoxins, Fillers, etc), medical grade skin care, IPL treatment, Ultherapy, microneedling and chemical peels. Our esthetician Alicia can enhance your experience with a spa-grade facial or dermaplaning. We know your time is valuable, so our goal is to be a full-service facility for our patients.
RAPID PATIENT RECOVERY
The Enhanced Recovery Program (also known as Enhanced Recovery Protocol or ERP) was developed to enhance the surgical recovery process for patients. PHASE Plastic Surgery has implemented this protocol to bring the most up-to-date recovery techniques to our own patients. Typical pre and post operative instructions for patients often left them feeling dehydrated and lethargic after surgery and dependent solely on narcotic pain medications for pain control. Our newer protocols implement more non-narcotic types of pain medication and have significantly improved patient comfort and pain levels after surgery.
The program includes:
-
Allowin gyou to take part in your own recovery.
-
Increasing your comfort.
-
Preventing dehydration.
-
Allowing you to start drinking and eating sooner after surgery.
-
Lowering your body’s reaction to stress.
-
Does NOT require you to take laxatives or enemas before surgery.
The significant factors that traditionally influence recovery in this period include postoperative pain control, fluid management, and return of bowel function. ERAS protocols are designed to address these issues and help you recover faster and more comfortably. These protocols have been studied in many hospitals and are shown to improve surgical outcomes, decrease hospital length of stay, and improve patient satisfaction. Our protocol is designed with the help of your surgeon, anesthesiology team, nurses, and care team to provide you with the best care.
